Weather & Climate

Thailand is quite hot and humid all year around with temperatures around 28-35°C. November to the end of February is the coolest period, there isn’t much rain and temperatures are at their lowest. This is the most popular time to visit, especially around Christmas and New Year’s, or at Chinese New Year. From March to June the temperatures really start getting hot, with temperatures as high as 40°C. Great for lazy days on the beach but not so great if you’re looking to partake in much activity other than lifting a cocktail to your lips. Rainy season runs from July to October, peaking in September when tropical monsoons hit most of the country.

History & Culture

Dating back to the Neolithic civilization situated in Ban Chiang, the history of Thailand is long and well documented. The history of Thailand as we know it began when the kingdoms of Lan Na and Sukhothai established developed societies in the North and Central regions of Thailand in the 13th and 14th centuries. Nowadays a heavily Buddhist country, much of Thai culture surrounds the myriad temples and shrines that are found all over the country.
